4th of July fireworks to return to Rochester Fairgrounds

ROCHESTER - Fourth of July fireworks return to the Rochester Fairgrounds this year after the City Council voted in favor of the much-beloved pyrotechnic spectacular at their regular Tuesday meeting.

The show will actually take place on July 3, the eve of Independence Day.

It will the first time in three years the show has been put on.

The council's OK approves spending up to $20,000 for the fireworks, which will be set off by a professional pyrotechnic company.
