A GRAND SALUTE Parade grand marshals Army Sgt. Ed Parker, a WWII POW; who fought in the Battle of Anzio; and WWII Marine Cpl. Constantine Chrysafidis, below, who fought on Iwo Jima get a heroes ride in Monday's parade.

ROCHESTER - It was a somber day but a grand way to pay tribute to all the servicemen and women who made the ultimate sacrifice so that this country can remain free, and a huge appreciative crowd was on hand at the Common to do just that.
