ROCHESTER - Adolph "Joe" Mayo, 80, passed away Saturday March 29, 2014, at his home following a period of failing health.

Born December 2, 1933, in Rochester, he was the son of the late John and Blanche (Pouliotte) Mayo.

Mr. Mayo was a carpenter and worked for the Rochester Housing Authority for many years. In his spare time he loved wood working.

Members of his family include his wife of 58 years Patricia (Desmarais) Mayo of Rochester; his children Michael Mayo and wife Susan of Rochester; Nancy Kane and husband Tom of Milton; and Joseph Mayo and wife Paula of Leesburg, Fla.; six grandchildren and six great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews, his sister-in-law Carol Jenkins and husband Bruce of East Rochester; and his brother-in-law Robert Desmarais and wife Nancy of Gonic.
