Applications for Big E! vendor space now available
Staff reports 6 a.m.
Applications for exhibit space at September's Big E! in West Springfield, Mass., are now available.
The New Hampshire Building is limited, so all applications are reviewed by a selection committee which recommends to the Commissioner of Agriculture, Markets & Food those exhibitors best suited to meet the goals of the building.
The Eastern States Exposition (the Big E!) opens on Sept. 15.
The fair, held in West Springfield, Massachusetts, will run for 17 days, ending on Oct. 1.
Annually, over 1.5 million people visit the Big E to learn about the New England states and experience regional agriculture, hands-on living history, music and performances and shopping. Great food, demonstrations and exhibits, animals, exciting rides and games and exceptional locally made products are all part of the Big E experience.
The Big E's Avenue of States features a building from each of the New England States. Visitors to the New Hampshire Building find an impressive lineup of businesses, products and entertainers. Each shares their own story, while highlighting New Hampshire craftsmanship, food and the arts. All NH crafters, artisans and producers are invited to apply for commercial booth space in the NH Building. Successful applicants must agree to staff their booth from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. for the entirety of the fair.
The primary goal of the New Hampshire Building at the Big E is to promote the breadth and diversity of New Hampshire through its agriculture, natural resources, craftspeople, commerce, tourism and culture. Of supreme importance are the people working in the booth, who are perceived as "New Hampshire" by the fair-going public. We are committed to offering qualified, small, New Hampshire businesses the opportunity to exhibit in our state building.
The deadline to apply is Feb. 24.
