The department responded to 76 calls for service and treated 94 patients in August. Rescue volunteers logged 1,315 manpower hours during the month.

 The following is a breakdown of the calls in August:

11 General Illness Calls

8 Motor Vehicle Accidents

8 Mutual Aid to Neighboring Communities

7 Respiratory Emergencies

7 Unconscious Patients

6 Patients Fallen with Injuries

6 Public Assists (lift assists, etc)

4 Assault Patients

4 Suicidal/Overdose Patients

3 Trauma Patients

2 Seizure Patients

2 Cardiac Emergencies

2 Laceration Calls

1 Unattended Death

1 Diabetic Emergency

1 Heat Emergency

1 Stroke Patient

1 Stand by at Fire Scene

1 Welfare Check

 

The department treated 94 patients and transported 42 to area hospitals. The following is a breakdown of the hospitals transported to:

20 Frisbie Memorial Hospital

19 Goodall Hospital

2 Wentworth Douglas Hospital

1 Maine Medical Center
