ROCHESTER - Rochester Police continue to investigate a burglary that occurred Sunday night at the newly opened Burrito Banditos restaurant on Columbus Avenue.

The burglary at 667 Columbus Ave. was called in around 9:35 p.m. - about an hour and a half after it normally closes on Sunday - after a property breach was reported by a security company, according to dispatch notes on the city's daily police log.

Police brought in a K9 unit to attempt a track, but to no avail. Police also conducted a search on Charles Street.

Rochester Police Capt. Todd Pinkham said he couldn't comment on whether there had been property damage associated with the burglary as that was part of the investigation.

Pinkham did confirm that an undisclosed of cash was taken from the business, which just opened last month.
