Chesley Hill Road to get curve sign, mph reduction

ROCHESTER - City Council members this week approved “S-curve” signs near a dangerous bend on Chesley Hill Road and reduced the road’s speed limit from 35 to 30 mph.

Councilman David Walker told the board there had been several accidents in the recent past near the curve, which is located near the road’s halfway point.

The council also approved the repositioning of a 30 mph speed limit sign on Innovation Drive so it is closer to Route 108 allowing it to apprise motorists of the road’s speed limit as soon as they turn onto it from the state road.

The council also approved posting of a “No Outlet” sign on Blue Hill Drive.
