SANFORD - A Rochester man was arrested early Wednesday morning outside Southern Maine Health Care (formerly Goodall) after police say he created a disturbance after being treated for injuries sustained earlier.

Joseph K. Tavares, 38, of 25C Norway Plains Road, was charged with disorderly conduct and criminal trespass after he refused to leave the hospital.

He was taken by Sanford Police to York County Jail in Alfred where he was booked on the charges, according to Sanford Deputy Chief Tim Strout.
