GONIC - Constance LaPevaire Keays, 82, of Rosewood Manor in Gonic died Sunday, October 11, 2015, at Frisbie Memorial Hospital due to complications from surgery.
She was born October 22, 1932 in Portsmouth, the daughter of Chester and Constance (Twombly) Wheeler.
Constance enjoyed winters in Florida and summers in New England. She enjoyed auctions and was an avid Bingo player.
Members of her family include four children, Gail Broadhurst and her husband, Thomas of North Berwick, Maine, Vickie Walker and her husband, Arthur of Rochester, Jan Fernald of Portsmouth and Mark Fernald and his wife, Nancy of Tampa, Florida; 8 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; two sisters, Claire Chitourous of Newport, Rhode Island and Cassandra Jones of Portsmouth; one brother, Craig Wheeler of Raymond; several nieces and nephews; step-children, Robert Keays of Dover, James Keays of Somersworth and Richard Keays of Dover; and several step-grandchildren and step-great grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her husband, Walter Keays, sister, Carol Trefethen and step-children, Marilyn Hilton and Sharon Harvey.
