DHHS investigating COVID outbreak at UNH frat house

DURHAM - The New Hampshire Department of Health and Human Services is investigating a potential outbreak of COVID-19 among individuals associated with Theta Chi Fraternity at UNH. To date, 11 persons with COVID-19 have been identified who have been at the fraternity. In all UNH has 33 current and 17 recovered cases identified. Any individuals who visited Theta Chi Fraternity since the end of August may have been exposed to COVID-19 and should self-observe for illness and seek testing. Persons not associated with the university can access testing through multiple testing options available throughout the State: https://www.nh.gov/covid19/resources-guidance/testing-guidance.htm Meanwhile, DHHS announced 29 new positive test results for COVID-19 on Sunday, including three under 18 and two from Strafford County. DHHS also announced one additional death related to COVID-19, a woman from Hillsborough County 60 or older.
