E. Rochester man indicted in assault case

STAFF REPORTS

An East Rochester man has been indicted for criminal threatening and assault in connection with an April 17 incident in which he brandished a knife against another individual.

Paul Brooks, 25, of 8 Periwinkle Drive, is said to have brandished the knife and stated, “You’re going to get stuck” or words to that effect, placing the person in fear of great bodily harm.

The indictments were released on Tuesday.

Both charges are Class B felonies, punishable by 3 ½ to 7 years in prison.

An indictment is not an indication of guilt, only that a grand jury has found sufficient evidence to move forward with a trial.
