ALFRED, Maine - An East Rochester man has been indicted in a domestic violence assault case that occurred in Sanford in January.

Matthew O. Markham, 45, of 3 Warren Street, has been formally charged with burglary, terrorizing, domestic assault, obstruction of a domestic assault report and assault in connection with the Jan. 15 incident.

Markham has prior convictions for burglary from 2003 and domestic assault from 2008.

Sanford Police did not respond to requests for more information on the case.

The York County grand jury indictments were handed down on Wednesday.

An indictment is not indication of guilt, only that a grand jury has found sufficient evidence to warrant a trial.
