Ex-Rochester firefighter guilty of stealing drugs

DOVER, N.H. - David Penney, an ex-Rochester firefighter and paramedic, was found guilty Tuesday of diverting drugs intended for patients at Frisbie Memorial Hospital.
Penney, 50, was convicted on 16 of the 25 charges he faced and faces seven and a half to 15 years in jail on each count.

Penney was a Rochester firefighter and paramedic for 20 years, reaching the rank of lieutenant before the charges came to light.

Sentencing is expected later this spring.
