WEST LEBANON - A tree limb fell on a power line sparking a fire that knocked out power to areas of Prospect Hill this afternoon.

The road was closed to traffic in the area of 135 Prospect Hill Road for about an hour and 45 minutes while Central Maine Power crews were attending to the downed line.

Lebanon Fire Chief Skip Wood said Milton Fire crews arrived first. He said once the fire burned through the wire, the limb fell and the fire went out.

Power was restored around 2:45 p.m.
