Germaine F. Ricker ... enjoyed crocheting



ROCHESTER - Germaine F. Ricker, 81, of the Rochester Manor and formerly of Chestnut Hill Road died Tuesday, Oct. 7, 2014, at Frisbie Memorial Hospital after a brief illness.

She was born Nov. 25, 1932, in Farmington, the daughter of Francis and Gladys (Moore) Champagne. She was a lifelong resident of this area having worked at Melrose Restaurant, Martin's Drive-In, Dot's Lunch and Davidson Rubber. She was a member of St. Mary Church in Rochester.

Germaine enjoyed writing poetry, gardening, crocheting, reading and doing crossword puzzles. She most enjoyed fishing with her husband Richard and her children. Later in life she worked as a substitute teacher in the Rochester School system.

The widow of Richard Ricker who died in 2000 she is survived by sons, David and wife Christine Bushway, Woonsocket, R.I.; Christopher and wife Deborah Carpenter, Farmington, Michael Carpenter and wife Sue Parshley of North Berwick, Maine, Ricky and wife Paula Carpenter, of Rochester, Stephen and wife Cathy Ricker, Rochester; daughters, Kathy and husband Franklin Condon, Farmington, Linda and Pedro Quintanilla Bushway, San Antonio, Texas, daughter-in-law, Lynne Bushway of Shapleigh, Maine. sister-in-law, Nathalie Champagne of Hollywood, Fla. ; brother, Rene and wife Sue Champagne of Fort Pierce, Fla.; 14 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; adopted son, Albert Parker and his wife Cheryl; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son Danny Paul Bushway in 2002 and brother, Francois "Junie" Champagne.
