EAST ROCHESTER - The Cumberland Farms in East Rochester was robbed at knifepoint late Sunday night, and Rochester Police are saying the suspect’s MO and description are similar to those in two other city convenience store robberies over the past three weeks.

The Eastie heist was called in around 11:45 p.m. when police say a knife-wielding man entered the store, demanded money from the clerk then fled on foot.

The clerk was shaken but luckily unhurt, police said.

A Rochester Police K9 unit initiated a track from the scene leading a short distance on Main Street where the track ended.
The suspect description appears to be similar to the armed robberies which occurred on July 6 at the Shell Station located on Milton Road and the July 20 robbery of the Irving Circle K located on Gonic Rd.
The suspect in all three robberies is a white male approximately 5'5"-5'8" with a thin build. During this robbery the suspect was wearing black Under Armor hooded sweatshirt, a dark bandana or mask covering the majority his face, blue jeans and black sneakers.

As in the other two robberies, the suspect was also wearing a leather utility, work style glove on his left hand.

He toted a knife with a black blade in his right hand.

In all three robberies the suspect has threatened the clerk with a knife.
