CONCORD - Nonessential New Hampshire retailers on Saturday got the green light to sell their products curbside or by delivery, allowing many retail businesses to maintain at least some cash flow during the governor's stay-at-home order that began at midnight on Friday.

On Saturday Gov. Chris Sununu relaxed the rules on nonessential businesses who had lobbied all week for the adjustment.

Now bookstores, gift shops, clothiers and shoe stores that had been banned can now sell product

"New Hampshire small businesses are embracing this new norm -- and I thank them for their patience," Sununu said in a statement.

Purchases are expected to be paid for online to minimize contact between retailers and customers.
