ROCHESTER - In support of the Rochester "Paint the City Blue" and National Thank a Police Officer Day, Groen Construction and other businesses located at 120 Washington St. will host a Chick-Fil-A food truck on Sept. 20 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. where local police will be able to eat for free.

The truck will also give local residents who haven't been to a Chick-Fil-A a chance to sample their menu. About 550 meals will be available for the public to purchase, organizers say.

The food truck will be serving a limited menu consisting of signature chicken sandwiches, nuggets and waffle fries.

According to a press release sent from Groen Construction, patrons, supporters and police officers are asked to park at Staples directly across the street due to the limited amount of parking.

"Being a police officer requires commitment which goes above and beyond," a statement from event organizers reads. "While the majority of us are at home asleep, our local police officers are patrolling the streets of Rochester, helping to keep us safe."
