Lebanon teenager struck by lightning

EAST LEBANON - A Lebanon teen was struck by lightning Sunday night during a prolonged period of violent thunderstorms in the area.

The boy, described as a young teenager by Lebanon Rescue, was in his East Lebanon home when he was struck inside the structure around 8:30, in front of members of his family.

He was transported to Goodall Hospital in Sanford suffering from the effects of a lightning strike, a Lebanon Rescue press release stated.

No details of his condition were available this morning.

When Rescue crews arrived he was reported as conscious and alert.
