ROCHESTER - Lora May Richardson, 74, of Rochester died Saturday, May 10, 2014, at Hyder Family Hospice House in Dover after a period of failing health.

She was born Feb. 11, 1940, in Rochester, the daughter of the late William and Thelma (George) Mattocks. She attended St. Leo School and graduated Spaulding High School, Class of 1958. She was a lifelong resident of the area. Lora worked for the Rochester School District as a bus driver and a truant officer. She was a co-founder of the Rochester Girls Softball League and volunteered at the Homeless Shelter in Rochester. She also retired from C& J Trailways as a driver.

Members of her family include her sons, Mark Richardson and wife Betty, Steven Richardson, all of Maine; grandchildren, Christina Eaton and husband Nicholas and Mark Richardson; siblings, Ann DeCost, Betty Cardin and husband Ted, Sandy Lamontagne, David Mattocks and wife Donna, Robert Mattocks, William Mattocks and wife Veronica, Rita Thivierge and husband Bob, several nieces and nephews and her best friend and caregiver for many years, Denise Daigle.
