PALMYRA, Maine - State Police have charged a Palmyra man in connection with the bludgeoning death of a longtime Rochester, N.H., resident last week.

Cote was living with his brother on the Hurds Corner Road in Palmyra.

The State Medical Examiner’s Office said that Cole died from “blunt force trauma.”

His body was found inside his mobile home on Main Street in Detroit on July 18.

It was reported that Cote and Cole did know each other, however, no motive in the death has been given by police.

Cote was taken into custody Wednesday evening, according to Department of Public Safety spokesman Steve McCausland.

Police had termed Cole’s death as suspicious upon finding the body last week.
