Man nabbed for allegedly masturbating while driving

Denis Bolduc

BEDFORD, N.H. - A New Hampshire man has been arrested for reportedly masturbating as he drove his car along the F.E. Everett Turnpike in Bedford earlier this week.

It is alleged Denis Bolduc, 54, of Nashua, was headed south on the highway on Monday around 4 p.m. when he was spotted by a passing trucker, who called police to report a naked man driving a vehicle while masturbating.

New Hampshire State Police Sgt. Bryan Trask was able to locate and stop the reported vehicle, a gray 2013 Toyota RAV4, at the Exit 11 off ramp in Merrimack.

Bolduc asked if he was being stopped for speeding through the tolls upon which Trask advised Bolduc that he was not being stopped for speed and that Bolduc knew why he was being stopped.

Bolduc then stated that he knew he was being stopped because he was masturbating, a press release said. Bolduc stated further that he knew others could see his actions and that he was “very embarrassed.” Though it was initially reported Bolduc was naked, he was wearing his pants but no shirt when he was stopped.

On Tuesday, Bolduc appeared at the State Police Troop-B Barracks in Bedford to turn himself in on an arrest warrant charging him with indecent exposure and lewdness contrary to NH RSA 645:1 and negligent driving contrary to NH RSA 265:79-b. He was released on $1,000 personal recognizance bail and will have to appear in Merrimack Circuit Court in October to answer his charges. Indecent exposure is a misdemeanor.

The State Police ask if there are any other witnesses to this incident to please call Trooper Cummings at 603-223-8674.
