Marie P Richetelli ... a lover of chicken wings; at 96

ROCHESTER - Marie P Richetelli, known as Nan, died on July 3, 2025, at the age of 96.

Born on September 7, 1928, in New Haven, Connecticut, Nan lived there for 90 vibrant years before moving to New Hampshire to be with her granddaughter and family. Her life was a testament to resilience, laughter, and love.

Nan spent her career in retail, where she managed a men's store and worked at Grants. She brought her signature sassy attitude and classy style to everything she did, forging lifelong friendships and leaving lasting impressions wherever she went. A true people magnet, Nan lit up every room she entered -- not just with her impeccable taste, but with her biting wit, genuine charm, and contagious laughter.

She was predeceased by her children Donna, Richetelli Bucker and Donald Richetelli as well as s grandson, sister, and husband. Despite these profound losses, Nan continued to be the heart of our family, a shining light who gave so much of herself to those around her.

She leaves behind a legacy of love through six grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and six great-great-grandchildren -- each one touched by her bold spirit and sharp sense of humor. Even into her later years, Nan built new friendships, especially among her granddaughter's friends, who all adored her as one of their own.

A lover of chicken wings and "all things bad for you," Nan embraced life unapologetically. Her fun-loving, sarcastic ways made you feel like you weren't talking to a 96-year-old woman, but rather a lifelong friend -- the kind who always had your back and never missed a beat.

Nan was truly one of a kind. She will be dearly missed and forever remembered with laughter, love, and deep admiration.
