Martha P. Gregoire ... enjoyed painting

ROCHESTER - Martha P. Gregoire, 92, died Tuesday January 13, 2015, at Wentworth Douglass Hospital following a period of failing health.

Born July 27, 1922, in York, Maine, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Amanda (Pineo) Plaisted.

She had worked for many years at Somersworth Shoe.

Martha was a former member of the American Legion Auxiliary, and the Eagles Club. She loved spending time with her family, painting, gardening and crossword puzzles. She also enjoyed going to the fair, and playing bingo.

Members of her family include her children Michael Cassell and wife Yvonne of Porter, Maine; Roland Gregoire and wife Cora of Barrington; Norman Gregoire of Dover; Virginia Cassell of Farmington; Mary Lavoi and husband Richard of Berwick, Maine; Alice Thurston and husband John of Wakefield; Katherine Rogers and husband Gary of Farmington; and Lynn Peters and husband Dennis of Rochester grandchildren and great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her son Edward Gregoire, two daughters Elizabeth Brannon, and Robin Caswell, as well as seven brothers and five sisters.
