Mask-wearing suspect robs pharmacy of Oxycontins

ROCHESTER - The Rite-Aid across from Market Basket on Milton Road was robbed Monday night with the suspect walking away with a quantity of Oxycontins, police say.

The incident began around 7:15 p.m. when a lone male walked into the pharmacy, demanded an employee give him prescription drugs and fled north out of the store. No weapon was shown or threatened in the incident.

Officers conducted a search using the department's K-9 unit, but the track went cold.

The suspect is described as a white male possibly in his late teens or 20s, about 6 feet to 6-feet-2 with a thin build. At the time he was wearing blue jeans, a dark colored hooded sweatshirt and a mask.

An investigation is under way.
