New Hampshire and Maine governors today expressed grief and gave condolences to the victims and their families and friends in connection with the senseless shooting Sunday night in Las Vegas, Nev.

New Hampshire Gov. Chris Sununu today announced that in accordance with President Trump's proclamation honoring the victims, all U.S. and state flags in the state of New Hampshire should be flown at half-staff until sunset on Friday.

"Valerie and I join all Granite Staters in extending our thoughts and prayers to the people of Las Vegas and the families of the victims," said the governor. "We are grateful for the first responders who put themselves in harm's way every day to keep us safe."

Maine Gov. Paul LePage echoed Sununu's sentiments, saying on his Facebook page, "Ann & I are saddened by the senseless shooting in Las Vegas. Our hearts & prayers go to victims and their families devastated by this tragedy."
