ROCHESTER - Rochester SHARE Fund recently welcomed new leadership as Rich Hilow, LPL Financial Advisor, became Chair of the Board of Directors, and Skip Smith became the executive director. The SHARE Fund, which is committed to "Giving Hope to others through Sharing," also announced that after nine years of service to the community, former executive director Torey Kortz has retired to pursue the next chapter in her life, giving Smith an opportunity to share his talents and skills with the SHARE Fund clients, volunteers, and programs. "I am excited to combine my business experience with my call to serve others," says Executive Director Skip Smith. "I am honored to be a part of this wonderful organization helping our neighbors in need throughout the Lilac City." SHARE Fund supports the needs of our community, which even with today's strong economy, other social and personal challenges can place neighbors in difficult situations. For example, the Opioid crisis affects young and old, not just by its health impacts, but by splitting apart families and creating emergencies resulting in financial, shelter, clothing, and food obstacles. One in nine men, women, and children in the Granite State are food insecure, meaning they do not know where their next meal will come from. SHARE Fund helps by providing over 200 households every month with nutritious foods to supplement their needs. About the organization:
