ROCHESTER - Rochester Police continue their investigation into who allegedly threw a dog from the window of a black Cadillac on Wednesday.

A female pit bull was allegedly tossed from the vehicle in the vicinity of Norway Plains Road.

The pit bull appears to have recently given birth to puppies, and is thin with several scratches.

Nevertheless she appears to be in decent shape and is being held in a police facility under the care of a local veterinarian.

The Rochester Police Facebook post regarding the incident has drawn considerable response from animal lovers around town, spawning rumors of who may be responsible for the cruel and despicable act.

As of this time, however, Rochester Police Capt. Gary Boudreau said they have no official suspects or persons of interest in the case, but that the investigation is ongoing.
