EAST ROCHESTER - Police continue to investigate the robbery of two businesses that occurred within 10 days of each other in Eastside earlier this month.
Rochester Police Capt. Jason Thomas said on Thursday police continue to follow up on any leads but so far have not come up with a suspect or person of interest.
In each incident a lone suspect entered the business, demanded cash and fled on foot. In one incident a gun was threatened but not shown.
The first was on April 8 when police say a man walked into the Highland Street Dunkin' Donuts around 6:15 p.m., claimed he had a gun and demanded cash from a counter employee.
After taking cash from a register he fled on foot west on Highland Street. A K-9 unit was called but no track was found.
The subject is described as being about 6 feet tall wearing black jeans, a black jacket with a hood, a black hat and white sneakers.
The second robbery occurred on Wednesday when a man walked walked into the Highland Street convenience store at 119 Highland St. around 8:50 a.m., demanded cash and then fled on foot.
Again, a K-9 track was brought to the scene but the track failed.
That suspect is described as being about 5' 8'' with a dark complexion and dark eyes. He was estimated to be in his 20s and was last seen wearing gloves, white sneakers and a dark jacket with a hood and a hat.
Anyone with information on either of the incidents is asked to call Rochester Police.
