Rochester, Farmington residents nabbed during St. Patrick's Day Rt. 16 safety sweep

SEACOAST AREA, New Hampshire - Throughout the Seacoast on Saint Patrick's Day State Police from Troop A Barracks in Epping along with local police participated in a high-visibility DUI Saturation Patrol with a focus on the Route 16 (Spaulding Turnpike) corridor. As a result of this collective enforcement effort, Troop A Troopers conducted a total of 116 traffic stops, resulting in the issuance of 29 citations and 103 warnings for various motor vehicle infractions, according to a statement sent out Monday by the Dept. of Safety. In addition, 6 individuals were arrested for various offenses as follows: April A. Marlena K. Schultz Age: 33 City of Residence: Farmington, New Hampshire Charges: Operating After Suspension & Operating Without a License (Subsequent Offense) Court: 7th Circuit Court - District Division - Dover, June 11th, 2024 at 8:00 a.m.

As warmer weather approaches, the New Hampshire State Police would like to encourage all motorists to make safe choices prior to getting behind the wheel and remind everyone that the problem of impaired driving is a preventable one. If you are a member of the motoring public and observe a suspected impaired driver, call 911 immediately and be prepared to provide your exact location to include street names and highway mile markers, a plate number and description of the vehicle involved, along with the details of your observations.
