MILTON - For the first time in more than a year, the Milton Police Department is fully staffed with three new patrolmen coming onboard within the last two days.

“We are very happy, everyone on the force, that we are fully staffed once again,” said Milton Police Chief Richard Krauss on Monday.

All three of the new patrolmen graduated from the state’s Police Academy on Friday.

Two of the new officers began field training on Sunday, while the other started on Monday.

For all three joining the force it will be their first job in law enforcement.

The new patrolmen include 30-year-old Brian Leahy of Greenland, N.H.; 25-year-old Patrick McMullen of Rochester and 22-year-old Nicholas Nirgianakis of Windham.

All three will now undergo three weeks of in-house training after which they will begin working on their own, Krauss said.
