Rochester woman hurt in Gonic Road accident

ROCHESTER - A Rochester woman was hurt in a two-car collision on Saturday on Gonic Road.

Police say a 2010 Subaru Legacy was being driven northbound on Gonic Road by Nadine Hodgdon, 54, of Rochester.  When Hodgdon traveled through the intersection of Oak Street near Colby Street, her vehicle struck a 2003 Ford Escape driven by Dwight Leighton, 59, of Woodstock, Conn.  Leighton had several passengers in his vehicle, but none were injured.

Hodgdon was transported to Frisbie Memorial Hospital for non-life threatening injuries.  

Leighton’s vehicle suffered minor damage to the rear of the vehicle.  Hodgdon’s vehicle suffered heavy front end damage and was towed from the scene.

No charges in the incident are expected.
