Rochester woman hurt in Tuesday crash listed in fair condition at Maine Med

ROCHESTER - The Rochester woman injured in a single-vehicle crash on Tuesday remains in fair condition today at Maine Medical Center in Portland.

Wendy Hatfield, 49, was Medflighted from Skyhaven Airport by a DHART helicopter to Maine Med after she was severely injured around 9:50 a.m. when her car veered off Leonard Street and struck a tree.

Rochester Police say speed was a factor in the crash.

Hatfield, who was the only occupant in the vehicle, a 2008 Chevrolet Equinox, was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the accident, police said.
The accident occurred in the area of 11 Leonard St. and caused extensive front end damage to her vehicle.

The accident remains under investigation.
