ROCHESTER - Ruth Isabelle Talvio, 98, formerly of 162 First Crown Point Road died Friday June 13, 2014 at Dover Center for Health and Rehabilitation in Dover after a period of failing health.

She was born Jan. 22, 1916, in Revere, Mass., a daughter of Charles F. and Gladys I. (Nuell) Schonback. Ruth has resided in this area most of her life and worked for the United States Government in financial services for 24 years. She retired in 1972. She was a longtime member of the Crown Point Baptist Church in Strafford. She was an active volunteer at the Homemakers of Strafford County.

The widow of S. William Talvio who died in 2002, she is survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by brothers, Thomas E. Schonbach, Sr., and Frank N. Schonback; sisters, Gladys A. Freeman Jones and Florence M. Leonard.
