ROCHESTER - The young man police say robbed a Rite Aid store on Monday evening will likely be charged with a felony upon his arrest.

Unarmed robbery is a Class D felony, according to Rochester Police Capt. Gary Boudreau.

Boudreau said he shoved a female store clerk as she confronted him at the Wakefield Street drug store after watching him toss various items into a bag he’d brought into the store with him.

Police say he fled in a vehicle parked at a nearby business.

The store clerk was not injured in the incident, Boudreau added.

The suspect is described as a white male, 18-21 years old, 5-foot-6, with a slight build, unshaven face and dark hair. He was last seen wearing a maroon T-shirt and plaid shorts, police said.
