The Southern Maine Garden Club will hold its annual Garden Party and Membership Drive along with our hat contest at the Wormwood Conference Center which is part of the Waban Projects on Aug. 20 at 5 p.m.

At the center there are many easy access trails to stroll and even a dock to sit and enjoy the water and sunset. There are prizes for the Prettiest, Funniest, and Most Creative hat.

There will be a catered light meal so RSVPs are requested.

SMGC meets throughout the year at the Springvale Library on the third Wednesday of every month beginning at 6:45 PM (unless otherwise noted).  The public is invited to attend to sample our meetings to see if you would like to join us. The next meeting will be on Wednesday, September 17^th at the Library and the presenter will be Marina Forbes “An Evening in Russia”.
