Special Election on tap for empty selectman's seat

Staff Reports

LEBANON - Selectmen have decided to hold a Special Election to fill the selectman’s seat formerly held by Jason Cole who resigned last month.

The selectmen voted on Monday to hold the election after earlier informal comments made had indicated they might forego any vote and wait till June to fill the vacant seat.

The Special Election, which is expected to be held sometime in March, would finish out Cole’s three-year term ending in June 2015. Another selectman’s slot will be up for grabs this June when Selectmen Chair Karen Gerrish’s term ends.
