Turner-Liberty celebrating its 60th year in business

FARMINGTON - Turner-Liberty Insurance in downtown Farmington is celebrating its 60th anniversary this summer. The agency was founded by Franklin P. Liberty of Farmington in 1953. Aubrey King bought the agency in the late ‘50s and then sold to George J. Mucher Jr. in 1964. Mucher expanded the business in 1978 when he hired a young New York Life agent, Paul M. Turner, the current owner, who eventually became a partner in the firm in 1981. Paul Turner purchased the agency in 1999. He has been a member of the New Hampshire Independent Agents Association and the Professional Insurance Agents of New Hampshire and is a past president of the PIA of NH. Paul Turner’s son, Joseph Turner, is an agent at the firm and is celebrating 10 years working with his father. Joseph Turner heads up the Personal Lines Department. Agent Andrea Bowden has over 28 years experience in the industry previously as an underwriter at Grange Mutual Ins. Co. in Rochester. She is an internal producer of Commercial Lines Insurance. Mary Quinn came to the agency in 2011 and has 23 years of experience in the industry and is a Personal Lines Agent/Customer Service Representative. The combined experience of the staff is 96 years. Turner-Liberty provides home and auto insurance in New Hampshire and Maine, business insurance, boat, motorcycle, RV, Bonds as well as Life & Medical plans.
