Two indicted in Lebanon cases

STAFF REPORTS

A North Berwick woman was indicted last month in the theft of jewelry from a residence in Lebanon.

Chelsea Willey, 20, of 39 High Street, allegedly stole jewelry worth more than $1,000 from a family member of her friend who lives in Lebanon, according to Maine State Trooper Michael Pappas.

Willey is charged with a Class C felony in connection with the case.

Also indicted last month was a Shapleigh man who used his business account to write bad checks in the area, including one to a Lebanon equipment rental business.

Brian D. Harwood, 28, of 334 23rd Street Loop, is charged with writing bad checks, a Class C felony.

An indictment is not an indication of guilty, only that a grand jury has found sufficient reason to move forward with a trial.
