Two injured in chain reaction crash on North Main Street

ROCHESTER - Two drivers were injured Thursday evening when three cars collided on North Main Street

The crash occurred around 5:10 p.m. in front of Charlie's Pizza in the area of 224 North Main St. when police say Kyle Andrews, 26, of Rochester was driving a gray Toyota Corolla northbound when the vehicle in front of him, a tan Saturn SL operated by Mary Maccini, 84, stopped quickly. The Saturn was then pushed into southbound traffic colliding with a Nissan Juke driven by Aimee Richard, 54, of Rochester.

Richard and Maccini were both transported to Frisbie Memorial Hospital with what were described as nonlife threatening injuries.

The crash closed North Main Street for a brief period of time.
