Robie Marsters

I, Robie L. Marsters, am announcing my candidacy for the position of selectman that became available with the sudden resignation of selectman Cole.

I promise to continue with the great work that our present two selectmen have done revealing the truth, and I support them 100 percent. They have worked in the best interest of the town and taxpayers.

Having transparency and truth are my main objective in the town because if you are truthful and honest the way all elected officials should be you don't have to worry. The coverups in this town have gone on way too long. I am working on a recall ordinance that will be on the June ballot. Anyone who is interested and have not signed the petition and wish to do so may contact me at 207-252-2928. I will see that arrangements are made so you may do so.

If elected I will work to implement a quote/ bid system for all departments of the town. This will save the town a lot of money. Putting the work out to bid allows many businesses to bid on the work therefore broadening the scope of possible expenses therefore saving money.

In October 2009 I wrote an editorial (Entitled Lebanon Residents Misled). In it I outlined the problems that the town was facing at that time and no one wanted to look at the facts. That is why we have ended up in the predicament that we are now in.

I have run for selectman in the past in an effort to return truth and honesty in government to the people of Lebanon. I truly believe that they deserve this in their elected officials.

I look forward to your support in the upcoming election on March 11, 2014. If anyone has any questions please feel free to contact me at 207-252-2928.

Thank you very much

Robie Marsters
