DOVER - The investigation into a double stabbing at the Dover Ninety-Nine earlier this month will soon be in the hands of the Strafford County Attorneys Office following the completion of the probe into the fight.
Soon after the incident that involved three local residents Dover Police Lt. Mark Nadeau told The Rochester Voice that detectives were considering whether there might have been a self-defense element to the case. He indicated today the investigation was complete, and the case files will soon be headed to the county attorney.
The altercation occurred on May 1 around 4:35 p.m. when police say a male from Farmington and a female from Somersworth became embroiled in a dispute with a Rochester man that quickly turned physical.
During the fight, the Rochester man stabbed the Farmington man several times, and the woman was injured while attempting to intervene, Nadeau said soon after the incident.
The Rochester man initially fled the scene, but later was interviewed by Dover Police.

All the stab wounds were considered nonlife threatening.
