ROCHESTER - The city's Ward 3 and 6 moderators will meet in City Council chambers on Tuesday to verify affidavit ballots in connection with the Nov.5 General Elections, according to a release from the City Clerk's Office.
The counting session will take place at 3 p.m. in City Council chambers at City Hall and is open to the public.
Voters on election day who did not have the necessary paperwork to vote were able to sign an affidavit affirming legal residency, age and citizenship.
In the future this option will not be available following recent legislation that requires all necessary documents be available for inspection by polls workers prior to voting.
