After the voting, there's still choices

Once you get through voting today, Lebanon residents still have choices: They have to decide where to spend their money at concession tables set up by various town civic groups and organizations.

There’s the Dorcas Society, the West Lebanon Ladies Group, the Lebanon Historical Society, the American Legion, Rescue Department and Fire Department as well as Cubs Scouts and more, all fund-raising for worthy causes.

The Dorcas Society was selling baked goods, the Historical Society was selling booklets detailing the story of the last survivor of the Battle of Bunker Hill who lived in Lebanon and the West Lebanon Society was selling raffle baskets to sponsor their scholarships given to two Lebanon residents each year.

This year’s winners were Brandon Gerrish and Jessica Morris.

The Lebanon American Legion Post 214, meanwhile, was raffling off a one-of-a-kind pen crafted by Jim Cray, a Legion member who lives on Center Road and built the pen by hand.

The Legion was also raffling off two rounds of golf at Lebanon Pines Golf Course on Center Road.
