ROCHESTER - Albert Cohen, 84, of Rochester, died on Thursday, Aug. 2, 2018, from a fatal car accident.
Albert was born in Casablanca, Morocco, on May 21, 1934. He was the youngest of seven siblings.
He served in the Army and Navy for three years in Israel. He then moved to France and served in the French Paratroopers for an additional three years.
Albert was married to his wife Christiane Cohen (David) for 57 years.
They were married in France and had three daughters and then moved to the United States in 1967 and later had another daughter.
Albert had an adventurous spirit and was not afraid of change. Once they arrived to America, they lived in Texas, Florida, Massachusetts, and finally settled in New Hampshire.
He loved fishing, scuba diving, soccer and most of all spending time with his family and friends, and was always the life of the party. He could not have been more loved as a father and grandfather, and was a family man first and foremost.
He is survived by his wife, Christiane, his four daughters, Danielle Hernandez, Dalila Jones, Diane McIlvaine, Daphne Rachkoskie and their husbands and children. He also has two sisters, in Florida and Australia, and nieces and nephews all over the world.
He was respected and loved by all.
