LEBANON - Only one Lebanite made it to the coveted Top Ten of Noble High School’s list of graduates: Alina Shorey.

Shorey ranked third in the class and a summa cum laude graduate, is the daughter of Brian and Bambi Shorey of Lebanon, Maine.

She is the recipient of a University of Maine at Farmington Presidential and Alumni Scholarship and the SMAA Citizenship Award. She was a member of the Field Hockey All Academic Team and also attended the SMAA Leadership Summit.

Shorey was a member of the varsity field hockey team and the varsity lacrosse team, serving as captain her senior year. She served as vice president of National Honor Society and was a student mentor. She competed in the We The People National Constitution Competition in 2012 in Washington. Outside of Noble, Shorey participates in modern dance at Sole City Dance Company.

She will be attending University of Farmington in the fall majoring in secondary education with a focus in social studies and mathematics.

Last year the top three Noble High graduates, including Allison Pierpont, Tom Carlin and Adam Neubert, were all from Lebanon.
