ROCHESTER - Anne Marie (Horan) Hansen died peacefully on June 8, 2025. Born on November 16, 1938, in Washington, DC, Anne lived a life defined by service, love, and joyful connection. Though she held many jobs--from aerospace typist to community service roles--her true vocation was people. She was a tireless supporter of friends, family, and strangers alike, offering help, laughter, and companionship wherever needed. Passionate about holidays, seasons, gardening, and gatherings, she made every moment a celebration. A devoted mother, grandmother, athlete, and volunteer, Anne lit up every room she entered. Her energy, compassion, and infectious spirit made her beloved by an entire community. She leaves behind a legacy of warmth, generosity, and a life truly well-lived.

Anne is survived by Thomas, her husband of 54 years; her children, Michael of Apex, NC, Mark (Maria Alejandra) of Valencia, Spain, Marcia (Eric) Thomas of Rochester, Beckey Alexander of Monticello, IN, Melissa (William) Gardner of Harvard. MA; stepdaughters Karen and Kathy Hansen of Sacramento, CA; grandchildren Jesse and Tyler Copp, Gabriella and Nicolas Sanders, Lauren, Ella, and Christopher Gardner; great-granddaughters Piper and Paxton Copp.

Anne's family wishes to thank the staff at the Studley Home and Cornerstone VNA for the loving care she received from them in her last weeks.
