ROCHESTER - Rochester's annual PorchFest music extravaganza was a Sunday sunny delight to music revelers from around the region.

The free outdoor music festival featured more than 50 local bands, including Matty and the Penders who played in front of Hervey's Tire on Union Street.

Attendees were able to ramble around on an unseasonably warm September day to listen to a little bit of everything -- from rock 'n' roll to African Marimba and everything in between.

Participating musicians donated their time and talents to support the Rochester Performance and Arts Center Scholarship Fund, which helps youth in the community explore their visual, musical, and performing arts passions.

The Rochester Opera House, which presents and organizes Porchfest, announced that every wristband purchased and donation goes directly toward assisting a student in need.
