Athletes with challenges enjoy adaptive skate at Rochester Arena

ROCHESTER - A city of Rochester press release on Friday noted that students from the Goal Oriented Student Transitions and Learning Independence Through Education programs recently enjoyed a day on the ice at the Rochester Arena.

According to the statement, Northeast Passage provided ice sleds and adaptive hockey gear, which were used with assistance from hockey players from Spaulding High School and members of the Student Athletic Leadership Team. More than 30 participants attended to skate, play hockey, and meet new people in their community.
