CONCORD - A Massachusetts man pleaded guilty and was sentenced Thursday on charges of being a Drug Enterprise Leader and Conspiracy to Sell a Controlled Drug.

Mark Dipaolo, 48, of Plymouth, Mass., will spend 25 to 50 years, with five years of the minimum sentence suspended, on the Drug Enterprise Leader charge. The defendant was also sentenced to 10 to 20 years on the Conspiracy to Sell a Controlled Drug charge, to be served concurrently with the Drug Enterprise Leader sentence.

"This sentencing sends a strong message that those who profit from trafficking dangerous drugs will be held accountable. Mark Dipaolo's actions contributed to the distribution of large quantities of methamphetamine and cocaine in New Hampshire," said Attorney General John Formella.

Between August of 2020 and December of 2021, the defendant trafficked some 100 pounds of methamphetamine from Massachusetts into New Hampshire, which was then redistributed in Merrimack County, according to a statement from the state's Attorney Generals Office.

The evidence further established that the defendant conspired to traffic five ounces or more of cocaine from Massachusetts into New Hampshire, which was then redistributed in Hillsborough County.
